Independent game studio

Incompitents Studeos

An independent game studio that makes its own original games — small, actually finished, and funnier than they strictly need to be. No client work, no live-service treadmill: just games we own outright, the occasional free tool for other developers, and a name we misspelled on purpose.

The workbench

Games, tools, and tiny useful disasters.

In development

Original games

The whole point of the company. Small, original games for PC — Steam and itch.io, with Android when a title earns it — built to actually ship and owned outright so we can keep improving them. Released so far: zero, proudly, until the first one is good enough to charge money for.

Free · when ready

Free dev tools

The bits we build for ourselves and then hand to other developers for nothing: Unity plugins, editor helpers, and small utilities you would swear someone should have written already. Not a revenue stream — just useful things we can afford to give away between games.

Ongoing

Experiments & demos

Prototypes, jam games, and short experiments where we find out whether an idea is fun before it becomes a whole project. Most stay gloriously weird and go nowhere; the survivors graduate into real games.

Studio operating system

Professional where it counts. Weird where it helps.

Incompitents Studeos is a small, self-funded, owner-operated game studio in Texas — a real LLC, spelled wrong on purpose. We make and publish our own original games and own everything we build. The plan is deliberately unglamorous: ship small games, keep the ones that work, and grow a catalog we own outright instead of betting the whole studio on one enormous swing. No client work. No investors to disappoint. Just our own questionable ideas, taken seriously enough to finish.

  • Ship small — a finished tiny game beats an unfinished masterpiece.
  • Own everything we build, down to the last bad pun.
  • Build a catalog, not a single lottery ticket.
  • Keep the joke in the premise, not the polish.

Studio notes

What is happening around the tent.

Now

The unglamorous part

The studio is real on paper — Texas LLC, business plan, the works — and we are heads-down on the first prototype. There is, as of this writing, exactly nothing to play. We are roughly as impatient about that as you are.

Next

A page before a product

A Steam "coming soon" page and wishlist campaign, an itch.io home for demos, and the first small title clawing its way out of prototype into something we would let a stranger touch.

Later

Things you can actually open

The first finished game shipped (or in early access while we insist that was always the plan), regular devlogs, and the first free tools and Unity plugins handed to other developers.
